Jordan Ayew will captain Ghana’s Black Stars for the first time on Tuesday when they face Sudan in Khartoum.
The Crystal Palace striker has been named captain by coach Charles Akonnor for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Jordan has taken the position as the team’s leader in the absence of the three captains.
Substantive captain, Andre Ayew is injured, same as deputy captain Thomas Partey. Second deputy Richard Ofori is also not available due to suspension.
The 27-year-old has been in the team for 10 years, amassing 63 appearances.
